Location: Hawaii, Logo: existing, Budget: Yes but limited, Task: Create a custom set of materials celebrating the destination and build excitement among our financial reps to qualify for the trip.
My solution: I played off metallics and texture to create these materials. I bought a case of black corrugated press sized board and had designers on the floor painting gold and copper acrylic paint with plastic rollers. The sheets were to be cut down and used as holders for the agendas. I also carried the metallic and corrugated texture theme throughout the other pieces, applied filters to all the photography so that everything had a similar feel and printed the agendas and yearbook two color black and copper metallic. The final touch was to tie the agendas and reception invite closed with raffia.
Result: The result was stunning and the materials won a Best-of-Show at the IFCA Awards (Insurance & Financial Communicators Association) the following year.
